Thanks to our wonderful network of dedicated trainers and judges, we are able to offer virtual and in-person lessons and critiques to our membership at a discounted rate. This can be helpful when you live in a remote location, are not yet confident leaving your home barn, want a quick prep before a competition, or are looking for assistance with a specific issue.
We hope members near and far take advantage of this wonderful chance to partner with excellent trainers and judges you might not otherwise have access to!

Since 2010, when Sally Davenport held the reins, NEDA has offered the "best run judge education programs in the country," according to many eminent judge education instructors.
The USDF L (for learner) education program is the first step persons who wish to be dressage judges must take. However, the three weekends of Part one are equally of value to trainers, riders and persons who are interested in dressage and how it's judged.
Part one: Participants (mostly those wanting to go further with their training) must attend all three weekends. Auditors pay a small fee and can attend one, two or three weekends. This program is held partially in a lecture room and partially at an indoor riding area with live horses and riders. There is usually room for everyone who wants to attend.
Part Two: is limited to ten candidates who have met showing requirements and completed the Part I as a Participant. This is held three different weekends at a dressage show and Involves practice judging, oral judging, and a written test.
USEF “r” and “R” licensed judge training and evaluation are the next steps in judge education. These are limited to ten candidates who have completed the “L” program with distinction.
